Please Note: Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t make use of any outside agent and will not make use of any in the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reiterated that the registration deadline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains set for March 8, with no intention of granting an extension.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, emphasized this in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, highlighting that the registration period, which began on February 3, will close as originally planned.

"This deadline has been explicitly stated in all official announcements and promotional materials for the 2025 UTME exercise," Benjamin affirmed.

He encouraged prospective candidates to finalize their registration early to prevent any last-minute difficulties.

"We would like to remind all prospective candidates that there will be no extension of the registration period.

"This advisory is especially crucial in light of the recent decline in registration numbers for the examination.

"We strongly advise all interested individuals to register as soon as possible rather than waiting until the final moments," he added.

Benjamin also disclosed that more than 1.5 million candidates have successfully completed their registration, a figure closely aligning with the Board’s expectations for the 2025 examination cycle.

"It is important to understand that the Board's schedule is fixed, with several subsequent activities planned after registration, including the examination itself, processing of results, and the admissions process.

"These schedules are synchronized with other institutions and agencies that depend on the completion of our processes. Consequently, any extension of the registration period would not only disrupt JAMB’s workflow but also interfere with the timelines of our partners," he explained.

He advised all candidates to strictly adhere to the given timeline to ensure a seamless examination process. (NAN)
