The Federal University of Technology, Akure has commenced online registration for the Post-UTME screening exercise for admission into all courses/programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The registration starts on Monday, 1st June and ends on Friday, 3rd July, 2026.

Eligibility criteria for the Post-UTME screening exercise include: UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), while Direct Entry (DE) candidates must have chosen the Federal University of Technology, Akure as their first choice institution. Candidates must also possess at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB or their equivalent. Additionally, candidates must be at least 16 years of age by 30th September, 2026 to be considered for admission.
It is worth noting that admissions into the MBBS programme, which was earlier suspended, has been reinstated. Interested and qualified candidates are now eligible to apply.
To apply, candidates are required to visit the University website at www.futa.edu.ng for detailed information, complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form online, and print out a copy of the completed Registration Form.
The registration procedure involves completing the Registration Form, which is mandatory for all eligible candidates participating in the screening exercise. Candidates must ensure their UTME Registration Number and Full Name are provided correctly at the point of payment and registration. After making the payment, candidates must visit the University website to complete the online Registration Form.
The screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, payable at any Bank via the Remita platform after generating the necessary payment code.
Critical deadlines and warnings include: Registration Window from Monday, 1st June 2026 to Friday, 3rd July 2026, and JAMB CAPS Upload, where candidates must ensure their O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, 3rd July, 2026. Failure to do so will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission. Any candidate who does not participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into the University.
