Qualifications Required

• Senior Lecturer: Must hold a PhD and possess at least eight years of teaching, research and administrative experience at the tertiary level, together with a minimum of six peer‑reviewed publications in recognized local or international journals.
• Lecturer I: Requires an academic master’s degree from an accredited university, a minimum of three years relevant experience and at least four scholarly publications.
• Lecturer II: Requires an academic master’s degree with at least a 2:1 classification, a minimum of two years relevant experience and at least two publications in reputable journals.
• Lecturer III: Requires a bachelor’s degree with at least a 2:1 classification, a minimum of one year relevant experience and at least one scholarly publication.

Registration with the appropriate professional bodies is mandatory where it applies, while membership in related professional organisations is considered advantageous.

Separate criteria are set for technologists and technicians. Technologists must have earned an HND with at least Upper Credit and must bring three years of relevant experience, whereas technicians are required to hold an ND with at least Upper Credit and also three years of experience in a tertiary institution setting.
