Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria has released an update concerning registration for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry screening, urging applicants to log into the Post‑UTME portal and verify their screening status.
According to the Special Bulletin dated Wednesday, 19 August 2026, candidates whose results have been successfully screened will see a confirmation message indicating that their results have been processed. Conversely, applicants whose results were not screened may have experienced problems with the information they uploaded.
ABU enumerated several common causes for a result not being screened:
The university urges any applicant who identifies any of the above issues to log back into the portal and amend the information without delay, noting that failure to do so may halt the processing of their admission.
ABU also alerts candidates who registered using their personal email addresses rather than their JAMB registration numbers that those entries are considered invalid and must be re‑registered correctly.
Applicants who discovered that they entered the wrong UTME or O’Level subject combinations are instructed to modify their selections to align with the appropriate programmes. The notice further advises both candidates and the staff handling the submissions to double‑check that all data entered is accurate and fully captured.
Those who have not yet entered their O’Level results are asked to do so immediately so the university can continue processing their admission files. Candidates awaiting the release of their O’Level results should wait until the official results become available before completing the upload.
For any further questions, candidates may reach the university via telephone at 07076806821, 08111465297 or 09020017135.
