Akwa Ibom Polytechnic management has given the green light for the 2026 Annual Student's Week to kick off.

The entire polytechnic community, including students, is hereby informed that all formal academic activities and lectures will be suspended from Monday, August 17th, 2026, to Friday, August 21st, 2026. This suspension will allow schools, departments, and chapters to observe their respective cultural days.

The Student's Union Government activities will take place from Monday, August 24th, 2026, to Friday, August 28th, 2026.

Here are the highlights of activities for the SUG week:

• Day 1-Monday: SUG Praise Cantata
• Day 2-Tuesday: Old School Day/Costume Day
• Day 3-Wednesday: Carnival float
• Day 4-Thursday: Cultural Day
• Day 5- Friday: Legacy Day (Morning) / Social Night (Evening)

Students are reminded to maintain the highest standards of discipline and decorum throughout the celebration. The management will not tolerate any form of cultism, harassment, or behavior that could disrupt the institution's peace.

Normal academic activities and lectures will resume on Monday, 31st August, 2026.
