The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has issued an important advisory to all students and intending Corps members regarding the approved procedure for NERD enrolment and related services.
Students are strongly advised not to physically visit any cyber café or centre for NERD-related processes, as all services are designed to be conducted virtually and remotely via phone, email, WhatsApp, etc., without the need for physical presence at any location.
As part of its mandate to create jobs, NERD has engaged Nigerian entrepreneurs to put in place over 1,200 Digital Service Centres (DSC) across the nation, with each DSC having about 3 Enrolment Centre Operators (ECO). Students must engage only accredited NERD DSCs or Enrolment Centre Operators (ECOs) whose verified contact details (phone number, email address, and location) are officially published on the NERD lookup portal.
Please note that distance is not a barrier, and an accredited DSC or ECO can validly process registration irrespective of geographical location. Always confirm the accreditation status of any Centre or Operator via the official lookup portal before engaging their services. If you cannot find their names, contact details, and phone numbers on the NERD portal, do not engage them.
The maximum approved charge that any accredited DSC can collect for their service (data entry for enrolment + upload) is N2,500. Report any DSC or ECO demanding more than the approved charge to support@ned.gov.ng.
For additional clarification or assistance, please contact NERD Support: 08060044989, support@ned.gov.ng.
By adhering strictly to this directive, you help safeguard the integrity, transparency, and security of the NERD system.
