The Students’ Union Directorate of Health, Environment and Welfare at the University of Uyo has urged all students to ensure they register and actively use the University Health Centre for medical care and support.
In a statement, the Director of Health, Comr. Eme Bassey, advised students to visit the Health Centre promptly if they feel unwell or notice concerning symptoms. This, he stressed, helps prevent complications and supports effective treatment.
The Directorate reassured students that the University Health Centre is staffed with qualified healthcare professionals dedicated to providing quality medical care, guidance, and welfare support within the university community.
Students facing complaints, concerns, or difficulties accessing healthcare services are encouraged to contact the Directorate through the support line: 09078779121.
The notice emphasized that no student should suffer in silence when help and medical assistance are readily available on campus.
