The University of Maiduguri has announced that it is now accepting applications for its diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session through its Consultancy Services Center and the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for various two-year diploma programmes, including Diploma in Mass Communication, Civil Law, Accounting, Social Works, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Physics Education, Mathematics Education, Science Laboratory Technology, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Public Administration, Health and Social Services Administration, Politics and Development Studies, as well as Visual and Performance Arts.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must have at least four credit passes in relevant subjects from WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE, obtained at not more than two sittings. Alternatively, candidates with four credit or merit passes from the Teachers Grade II Certificate can apply if at least two of the subjects are relevant to their chosen field of study.
To apply, prospective students can obtain application forms from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, Science Complex, University of Maiduguri, after paying ₦4,000 into the UNIMAID Consult account via payunimaid.net. Completed application forms should be submitted to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, University of Maiduguri, on or before 27 February 2026.
